Dr. Hui-Lio offers tai chi and qigong group classes and private sessions at Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt. She teaches traditional forms and customized programs for clients who suffer from cancer, chronic pain, falls, Parkinson, peripheral neuropathy, hyper-sensitization and arthritis. Her teaching emphasizes body awareness, mind-body connection, and preventive health with practices that focus on tension-release, dynamic weight shifting, coordination, waist initiated movements, effortless and purposeful movements, qigong self-massage and energy cultivation.
Dr. Hui-Lio earned a Ph.D. in Instruction and Administration and a graduate certificate in Human-Technology Interaction from the University of Kentucky. She is a Certified Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor by the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association and Massage Therapy, having completed her training at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Hui-Lio enjoys sharing her 20 years of tai chi and qigong experience with her clients on their journey to rediscover their physical and mental connection.
