We tailor your treatment plan to meet your unique needs and health goals. We help you navigate your treatment options, as well as follow-up and patient-focused support programs and symptom management, to ensure that you receive the best possible care
- Patient Navigator
The Pancreas Center has a dedicated patient navigator to help guide you through your care plan. The navigator can help you schedule appointments, gather medical records, address concerns and coordinate your care among all the specialists involved in your treatment.
- Recognized cancer care
Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center is the only cancer center in the region designated by the National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) as a Center of Excellence. The NPF conducts a thorough audit to identify those centers that focus on multidisciplinary treatment of pancreatic cancer and treat the whole patient, while delivering the best outcomes and improved quality of life.
- Expert second opinions
According to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 30 to 50 percent of patients with pancreatic cancer who are eligible for surgery are told that it isn't an option. Our surgeons perform a high volume of pancreatic cancer surgeries, which means they can help you better understand all of your options and provide expert, comprehensive care.
