Why Choose Pancreas Transplant at Vanderbilt
- Knowledge and experience
Vanderbilt is the largest, most experienced transplant center in the nation in terms of the number of transplants we perform. Marking a year of dramatic growth, our new record for 2025 was 960 adult and pediatric solid organ transplants. Also in 2025, the Vanderbilt Heart Transplant program set a world record for the second year in a row by performing 210 adult and pediatric heart transplants. The number of patients whose lives were saved by our heart transplant team far surpasses any previous total by an individual transplant center. Vanderbilt's innovation in organ preservation fueled growth for our transplant center as a whole in 2025, saving more lives while producing excellent outcomes.
- Team approach
We work together to ensure that you receive the comprehensive care you need. Our team members collaborate with each other, as well as with experts in other medical disciplines, to provide you with individual care that addresses your unique needs.
