Dr Goodman is AWESOME! I am so thankful to be in her care!

Dr. Goodman is very competent and I have a great deal of confidence in her. She is direct yet compassionate. She has a good sense of humor which is helpful. Can't say enough good things about her.

The provider told me that she didn't know why I was there. I told her about my leukopenia, low IGA, and my IGG infusions. She said that I had the wrong doctor refer me to her. (I had been referred by my general practitioner.). She said that she only works with cancer patients and end of life patients. She also said that I should have gotten all my records from my immunologist to her. She said that I did not do my job as a patient. She said I cannot prove that I have anemia. I have taken iron supplements since I was growing up, but I don't have my medical records from the 1970,s to prove it. She said that low IGA is a black person's disease so someone as fair as me could not have it. An internet search says that it is genetic and affects mostly people of European decent like me. I told her that I have two cousins who are anemic and one cousin with low IGA and other autoimmune diseases. She said that does not matter. And she told me that lots of people live with baseline bad blood counts so I need to learn to live with it. I told her that I do not like being sick all the time and I want to get better. This year I have had viruses, sinus infections, ear infections, pneumonia, and the COVID.

Dr Goodman is ALWAYS on top of things!! She doesn't miss a beat! We feel so very fortunate to have her on our team..THANK YOU Dr Goodman!!
