Parkinson's Disease Support Group

Third Thursday Lecture Series

Patients are welcome to attend our Third Thursday support group meetings to learn about living well with Parkinson's. These meetings are held every third Thursday from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, in Side A of the Wadlington Room, in the 2nd floor conference center. Parking is available in the South Garage.

Thursday, February 16: "Basics of Medication Management for Parkinson's" with Thomas Davis, M.D.
Dr. Davis is one of our most popular speakers. Bring your medication questions and experiences for this interactive program.

Thursday, March 16: "Gait and Balance: Common Issues for PD Patients and Caregivers" with Christina Kelly, Pi Beta Phi physical therapist at Vanderbilt

Thursday, April 20: may be a kickoff dinner for the upcoming Nashville Moving Day, a National Parkinson Foundation’s annual fundraising walk/run event to be held on Saturday, June 3, at Edwin Warner Park. This will be a family friendly event with fun and exciting options for all.

Thursday, May 18: NO MEETING as the Davis Phinney Foundation Victory Summit will be the next day on Friday, May 19. Mark your calendar for this national PD educational and inspirational event happening all day at the new Music City Center.
