At the Division of Neuro-oncology, we diagnose and treat primary or secondary cancers that affect the brain. Neuro-oncologists also address the neurologic effects of cancer. We work closely with the Neurology Department, the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center and the Vanderbilt Brain Cancer Center.
Treatment for most patients combines surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Our patients benefit from personalized care through a team of experts that includes neurosurgeons, radiation therapists, pediatric oncologists, chemotherapists and neuro-pathologists.
Our Neuro-Oncology Tumor Board includes neurosurgeons and radiation therapists. This board reviews all new patients so that we can develop a personalized treatment plan.
