The Geriatric Heart Program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center cares for more than your heart. In addition to providing heart care for people age 65 and older, we’ll work with you and your family to improve your overall health and quality of life.
We are the first program in the nation to combine cardiology with geriatric care. As a senior with a heart condition, you may experience fatigue, shortness of breath, falls and cognitive impairment, among other health challenges. Our team treats conditions like these that arise from or occur in addition to heart disease.
We tailor your treatment plan to meet your unique needs and health goals. We help you navigate your treatment options to ensure that you receive the best possible care.
We offer ongoing support services to ensure you find the support you need to feel better, physically and emotionally. We also can assist you with lodging and locating community resources and support.
We work together to ensure that you receive the comprehensive care you need. Our team members collaborate with each other, as well as with experts in other medical disciplines, to provide you with individual care that addresses your unique needs.
