Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health

As part of an academic medical center, we are leaders in caring for the most complex conditions. Our commitment to research means that you receive the most current, advanced treatment available.

Services begin when a patient enters the separately accessed assessment area. Every new patient receives a comprehensive assessment from a trained social worker, as well as a medical interview with a physician. From these assessments we determine the patient's diagnosis and treatment, which may lead to inpatient admission.

Patients have access to a staff pharmacist to assist with medication management, as well as connection to additional Vanderbilt services. Daily meetings between a physician and the rest of our care team ensure the patient's needs are being met.

Our doctors work closely with experts in other medical disciplines to create a care plan that meets your individual needs. We also work with your primary care doctor to review your records and coordinate any advanced care you may need.
