Dr. Fallis was awesome. He and I were both a little confused at the start why I had been referred out to neurology given my lack of migraines or predisposition to headaches, but he was patient when I started telling him about the events that had brought me to his clinic, and there were a lot of things that happened in the last few months. Almost immediately he had a notion that the issue was in my neck, and within seconds he pulled up my head CT, zeroed in on the neck slice, and found that the curvature in my neck was almost backwards. He then dove into my history with me, noted my hyper mobility, and took great care in explaining his theory about what may have caused the incorrect curvature, reassured me that he thought it was muscular so very fixable, and then also dove into my light-headedness and fainting episodes - further suspecting that I may also have POTS and referring me out for testing. I've known about my hyper mobility and double-jointedness my whole life, but this was the first time that anyone had explained some of the second order effects that can occur as a result of it, and he took a lot of time and care explaining what I should be cautious of, how my threshold for injury may be lower/impacted, and things I should be aware of and to look out for moving forward. He also took great care in wanting to keep me in the loop and making sure I knew if I had any questions I could reach out. The next day, his treatment is already showing to be effective and in addition to the immense relief he's provided to my whole family in identifying some answers and next steps for me, I left our appointment feeling tremendously reassured, largely I think, because he seemed to feel confident, and it's probably the first time in this whole experience across multiple visits that I've felt someone else felt confident in what was going on which in itself was a huge relief. Thank you so much, Dr. Fallis!
