Dr. Bonfield is so kind, caring and patient with our family. We ask a lot of questions and he answers with his full undivided attention and never rushes. He is thorough and so knowledgeable. He is kind and careful with us and always takes his time. We come to Vanderbilt for Dr. Bonfield and his excellent care and he deserves to be recognized for his incredible patient care!

My only complaint is that our daughters records were not looked at ahead of time. She did not need surgery, we knew she didn't need surgery, that's not why we thought we were being referred to Dr. Bonfield. Basically, the referral from TOA in Knoxville was not sent to the best Dr for our concerns (that's not on Dr Bonfield at all). But if her X-rays and MRIs that were sent In advance were looked at ahead of time, we would not have traveled to Nashville, missing both work and school. However, Dr. Bonfield did refer us to the correct type of Dr, a rheumatologist, and she is already scheduled! Thank you.

I was very appreciative of Dr. Bonfield, first, reviewing my MRI studies with me, by explaining in detail the surgery needed, including the approach, potential benefits and risks, and timing, his thoroughness in pre-surgical planning, including bone density testing and cervical MRI, and his support of Allergy-Immunology testing and possible desensitization therapy for a relevant pre-existent condition. Finally, he signaled his willingness to answer any and all questions from my wife and myself. Overall, this was an outstanding encounter / experience.
