Overview
Eyelid surgery can enhance the appearance of the area surrounding the eyes. Depending on your desired result, repairs may be made to the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both. Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, can reduce the excess skin and fatty deposits surrounding your eye area, bags under the eyes, fine lines and wrinkles and droopiness of the lower lids.
In addition to blepharoplasty, your surgeon can further enhance the look of your eye region by performing the canthopexy procedure. This procedure raises the corners of the eyelids and improves the appearance of the lower eyelid by making small incisions around the eyelids, and it results in a rejuvenated, youthful look.
