MyOncologyHealth offers personalized education and support throughout your journey. After enrollment, services include:

  • Cancer-related clinical support, such as scheduling assistance and record coordination
  • A dedicated oncology nurse navigator to help with what to expect as well as ongoing questions and clinical concerns. The oncology nurse navigator will also coordinate with your care team as needed.

Eligibility

MyOncologyHealth is available for employees and dependents who:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Have a confirmed malignancy, a highly suspected malignancy or a history of a known malignancy that has returned or changed

While this program is geared toward employees who have not yet begun cancer treatment, those who are already undergoing active cancer treatment are still eligible.

If you are being treated for a malignant cancer at Vanderbilt Health, please contact the oncology nurse navigator to see if you are eligible for MyOncologyHealth.

If you have a cancer diagnosis managed through a specialty group only, you may not be eligible for MyOncologyHealth. Examples of specialty-managed diagnoses may include localized skin cancers, low-risk prostate cancers and cancers of the eye.

Malignancies that require close monitoring and evaluation but no active treatment (typically called “surveillance-only treatment”) may also be excluded from this program if your care plan does not include active treatment.

Also, if you are already currently enrolled in another MyHealth Bundle program you are not eligible for MyOncologyHealth. Once you complete your current MyHealth Bundle program, you are eligible to enroll in MyOncologyHealth. Please contact the nurse navigator to confirm.

Enrollment

To qualify for MyOncologyHealth, employees must speak with a patient navigator to enroll. Your navigator will review all enrollment and eligibility requirements and book a consultation to further qualify you for the program. There is no need to enroll until you are ready to begin your care experience.

Duration

Coverage begins upon enrollment with a patient navigator. Once enrolled, you will be transitioned to our oncology nurse navigator who will be your point of contact during your treatment. Important notes:

  • If you have surgery for your cancer, the program will end when your care team considers that the surgery is successful and no further cancer treatment is required.
  • If you have non-surgical cancer treatment, the program will end when your care team considers you to be in remission and/or transitions you into surveillance treatment (close monitoring and evaluation) or survivorship.
  • If you enrolled due to a highly suspected malignancy, and tests confirm there is no malignancy, the program will end immediately. Likewise, the program will end if you have a diagnosis that requires surveillance-only.
