Sponsorship Requests
Connecting With the Community
Vanderbilt University Medical Center is committed to providing services that promote the health and well-being of the communities we serve across Middle Tennessee. Each year, we support community organizations through monetary sponsorships and in-kind donations.
Given the volume of sponsorship requests we receive, sponsorship priority is given to organizations that align with our mission and meet the following criteria. As a 501(c)(3), we are limited in the amount of sponsorships we can provide annually.
Sponsorship Guidelines
To be considered for financial or in-kind support, organizations must meet the following criteria:
- Represent a designated 501(c)(3) organization
- Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Support goals and objectives that closely align with the planned future activities of Vanderbilt University Medical Center
- Increase opportunities for improved health in our community through research, education and services
- Support innovative advancements in patient care that align with one or more of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s major clinical programs or affiliates
Vanderbilt University Medical Center does not offer support for the following:
- Field trips or travel expenses
- Organizations that are discriminatory or unethical
- Political organizations or campaigns
- Religious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine
- Requests that benefit an individual person or family
Sponsorship Review and Approval Process
All organizations requesting support must submit our sponsorship request form for consideration.
- Sponsorship requests are reviewed on a monthly basis by the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Sponsorship Board. All decisions are final.
- Requests for sponsorship or event support must be submitted 90 days prior to the sponsorship activation, print deadline or event date.
- Sponsorship proposals submitted after the 10th of every month will be reviewed at the board meeting the following month.
