I was seen on Monday and given a care plan that included an expectation of follow up. It's been a week, and my hope is that the follow up will be within the next 2-3 weeks, and not much longer, with some form of contact. I would hate to have to be the one to reach out again about the follow up they proposed.

Was not happy when I saw Dr Drone years ago and not happy now. I had menieres in my left ear for years. All of a sudden in the past week I have lost all my hearing in my right ear. As Soon as he come in the first thing he said was let's get you set up for a cochlear implant. It's Menieres. Everything I've read says Menieres does not cause complete hearing loss in one ear that quickly and usually doesn't make you lose ALL hearing in both ears. I've had no vertigo or dizziness. He didn't even want to do an MRI to see what's going on. Yes, he's a Dr but he can't make that call of saying what I have without further investigating. He did finally do steroid injections and set me up for an mri with my pleading. If it is my choice I'd rather see a more caring Dr who'd want to find out the root cause of such hearing loss. Regardless if he's right in the end or not. Don't make speculations about one's health unless you tried everything.
