This was so amazing. The NP/Midwife would tell that I was very nervous and she made sure the entire exam and process was as easy and comfortable as possible. The care really showed

At this time, I absolutely would not recommend Mary Lou at this time. As the patient's mother, I stated I wanted my child swabbed for an infection due to the risk of an unusual presentation of symptoms- which there is a ton of supporting evidence that supports the request. Also, stated the concern that the patient has tried OTC anti-fungal medication, prescribed topical steroids and, nystatin. A swab to rule out a hidden infection would be helpful, even if only a peace of mind. TheProvider objected. Then after stated the patient had a specific condition that is *not* an infection, prescribed an antibiotic. I asked why that medication (which has a high risk of C Diff) if she does not have an infection. She stated I don't know, we don't know why it works, it's just what we prescribe. After three days of research and consulting with two pharmacists, they also stated this antibiotic being prescribed without an actual infection diagnosis was cause for alarm and advised against using the medication until further explanation was given or a diagnosis was found. As the patient's parent, I was further concerned about Mary Lou's professionalism because after an examination my child was returned to me holding a piece of paper. I asked her what it was, and she couldn't tell me. The provider also made no attempt to speak to me. I had to ask for her to follow up and explain what was happening to my child and what she told her. After she spoke with me and my child, I asked my child in front of the provider if she understood anything she just said to me. She said not really and I still don't understand where I am supposed to use the creams we got to the car and my child cried and said I dont understand if I am okay or not. And I don't know where she was talking about, I was just embarrassed to ask again and then cried more. I am beyond irritated that this appointment was not something that gave my child at minimum emotional comfort she desperately needs while we navigate this year long process. More importantly I am alarmed and strongly questioning the competency of this practice when their midwife is ordering medication for a patient and doesnt know WHY.

I asked for hormone labs to be drawn to check estrogen levels, I was told no but they could prescribe estrogen... I had labs ordered by my PCP the next day and my estrogen was high. Prescribing medication without labs is not scientific
