I came in because I was very, very worried that my problem could be covering a heart problem. I have a disabled daughter, my family has a history of heart disease, and I was very worried that I could have an undiagnosed heart problem. I knew it was a long shot and probably unfounded, but the doctor seemed somewhat frustrated at my level of concern considering an unresolved cough brought me in. I understand how ridiculous it may sound that a cough brought me to the cardiologist, but my situation, history, and research combined to give me concern.
