It was enlightening. On the first OCT visit I had a pretty severe reaction to the bright light. Discovered through talking with the photographers that the light was for eye fixation only - It wasn't neccessary for the photography itself. Therefore I was able to fixate on a pt on the wall, thus alleviating of the severe eye reaction (photo phobia). Suggest that you Implment this procedure for all pts getting fundus photogrpahy. A small, much dimmer LED light on the wall (vs up close) would make it much easier for any patient to rcv this procedure.

Dr Kaakour, as are all the doctors I have had with Vanderbilt Medical Center through the years is very professional,personable and trustworthy.
