He is very thoughtful in his explanation about what he is going to do, what you need to do afterwards and any possible problems that might occur afterwards . I keep coming back to this doctor because of his skill, his expertise and the concern he shows his patients. I have even recommended him to others.

Both Dr. Assi and Nick were very thorough and kind. I deeply appreciated the time they took to explain and discuss my treatment with me. It was a difficult day getting disappointing news, but I am very pleased with the team and truly believe I am getting world class care at Vanderbilt. Dr. Assi was very thorough and honest with me about my treatment plan and I appreciated that he put my safety as the top priority for surgery.Nick talked to me individually for several minutes longer. He was very kind and is a great listener. He worked with me to make a plan for my next steps. He is a great asset to this team and a great patient advocate.

This was a very brief appointment that really just necessitated a referral to another doctor.

For this particular telehealth, Dr. Assi joined the call from his car while driving (camera off, I could hear road noise, blinkers, parking beeps, etc and then him walking into the building). Beyond it just being unprofessional to not have his full attention during the appointment, it was pretty clear to me that he had not reviewed my patient file prior to the call thus the first part of the telehealth was confusing and frustrating trying to get on the same page. After he finally made it into his office and turned on his camera things were better but by this point I was trying very hard just to hold myself together and not cry. Overall not a great impression less than 2 weeks out from surgery and not the level of care I would expect from this team.

Dr. Assi was thorough and highly knowledgeable. Fantastic physician who cares deeply about his patients.

Doctor was very very understanding made me feel very comfortable. He understood and listened to me and we are both on the same page.

Dr Assi is a caring and kind man. He helps explain and breakdown the concerns in a way that is clear and easy to understand. I asked for a cause of my rue nerve pains through my hand. He found it. He verified with 3 hand specialists that all came to see me within an hour. They gave me diagnosis, OT Justin and Dr Assi helped me open my arm (most literally) and start the healing process. I'm so grateful and my issue was taken care of quickly and professionally.
