Full Participation Status for VUMC and its Affiliates
Ambetter (Centene) – On and Off Exchange for Tennessee markets
BCBS – On and Off Exchange for Networks P and S, excludes Networks L and E
Cigna Health Plans – On and Off Exchange
Cigna Connect Plans – VUMC and its Affiliates are contracted as In Network for Tennessee markets
Oscar – On and Off Exchange
VUMC and its Affiliates are now contracted as full-service, In Network providers effective 1/1/2023.
Out of Network Participation Status for VUMC and its Affiliates
The Exchange Plan below, sold in the Nashville area, excludes patients’ access to VUMC facilities and providers. In order to receive benefits from the health plan below, patients must receive authorization and have adequate payment arrangements from these plans prior to scheduled appointments at Vanderbilt or its Affiliate locations. VUMC staff are available to assist patients with authorization requests from the plans for specialty appointments as needed.
United Healthcare Compass
VUMC and its Affiliates are Out of Network. Patient must have authorization and adequate payment arrangements from United before an appointment will be scheduled. Patients will be fully responsible for payment if authorization is not received.
Authorization may be requested by Patient or Patient’s PCP from United through the number on the back of the member’s ID card.
