Dr Shieh is absolutely wonderful!

Dr. Shieh is very nice and explains things very well. She makes sure you understand and tells you all possibilities.

I didn't feel listened to, nor was I given a straight answer about my diagnosis (I had gone to her for a second opinion). She told me the eye drops I'm taking will cause me debilitating pain but I then went to an additional 3 doctors (another opthamologist and 2 optometrists) and they all disagreed fairly strongly.

Dr. Shieh stated early in our appointment (my first time to see her) that she didn't have much time as Vanderbilt schedules her with 2 patients every 15 minutes). If I had further questions I could schedule a telehealth appointment later. She made the diagnosis which included stopping a cancer drug which is saving my life. She did have any understanding or consideration that I might want to ask a question. She gave me the facts without consideration that a person, a patient was sitting in front of her and might want to discuss what she had said.

Dr. Sheih is always well prepared for my visits, very attentive to my concerns, explains everything clearly, and ensures all of my questions are answered before I leave. She is an excellent physician/surgeon!
