This is our second time seeing Dr. Moore and he was so kind. We received good news regarding our echo and he delivered that news well and with encouragement. He takes the time to talk and listen. The appointment didn't feel rushed at all. Where I was discouraged in a bit frustrated, Is that my daughter has been having a very persistent wet cough for three months and I was wondering if it was a cardiac issue and when the echo show showed that it was not a cardiac issue I asked to further pursue it with pulmonology. This cough is very persistent and wet, sounding and disrupts her sleep, and daily activities. Dr. Moore was reluctant to refer us for some reason. As a parent, I think that's hard for us to understand. My daughter is not my only child. I don't have childcare here and often have to solo parent - Coordinating in coming into appointments can be a challenge. Dr. Moore shared that he would refer back to my Daughter's primary for any concerns, but that was interesting to me because her primary isn't affiliated with Monroe Children's Hospital at all, and it would've been so much easier for him to help me get the referral. I ended up getting online and making it myself, but I wondered If I be able to get A quick quicker appointment then the one that I had to schedule six weeks out. I want to rule out CF Especially since our daughter was adopted, and we don't know much about her birth. Anyway, he is a very nice doctor, but I don't understand the hesitation to help me find answers as a parent or to make it more difficult and have more steps to get the answers I'm looking for.
