Dr. Martin is great! My life has only changed for the better each year and a lot of that is because of his support and help.

I felt as though I was not being listened to, only being quickly diagnosed with little care for my current medical situation. More focus was put on labeling my current state and not getting to the root of the problem.

I've had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Martin for a number of years, and I find him to be an exemplary Psychiatrist. As a recovering addict, I find it's imperative I have access to support Including familial, medical and Psychological. Because I feel so empowered and supported by Dr. Martin, as my recovery progressed, I've always known he is there as a Touchstone to keep me grounded, Especially during trying times. I've truly been blessed to have an excellent support system through Vanderbilt and This has helped me remain in excellent recovery for well over a decade. Dr. Martin truly cares about myself and all of his patients, and because we all know we can be completely honest with him, even if we were to relapse (Thank God, I've never relapsed). The fact he will not give up on us, as long as we continue to do the work, gives us the ability to feel more secure in our recovery because we truly do have someone extraordinarily knowledgeable about substance abuse in our corner, and I have no doubt he does all he can to help every single one of his patients have long lasting successful recovery. As a recovering addict, that is simply priceless.

Dr. Martin always has my mental health as first on his list.

Dr. Martin was not able to answer the questions I had about medication management. He gave advisement on treatments he has had comfort with managing over the years but seemed disinterested regarding my concerns about medication side effects or new treatments for my symptoms. Dr. Martin is kind and available for consultation just did not seem interested in hearing all of my concerns about new possible treatment options.

Didn't like his bedside manner first visit, but he has proven to be very competent and understanding.

I believe Dr. Martin is both a wonderful physician and a great person. I appreciate him very much for being my physician.
