I felt like the practioner asked me how I am feeling after surgery and my concerns. She listened to me and answered my questions. I felt cared for.

She said she couldn't tell me anything until she got more tests but took X-rays which clearly show D3 issues then seemed to down play the results like it wasn't causing me severe pain everyday. I used a colloquial term and she corrected me (I'm not a medical professional). Treated me like this was a new condition I hadn't been dealing with for several years of chronic pain. She admitted she had not read any of my paperwork when the nurse who brought me in said they had it. She then told me I'd have to get new scans anyway because they were over a year old. I do not believe she listened until the end when I was so frustrated I got emotional. At least she is letting me get my MRI scan closer to home. She also listened when I told her it hurts to bend and didn't make me go further. It all just inflamed everything anyway and I was hurting on the two-hour drive home. Might not go back. I learned from her Vanderbilt doesn't have someone that can do either of the minimally invasive procedures I was looking for anyway. This was meant to be a second opinion on fusion. Was also weighing Intracept and Endoscopic fusion if possible. I can get a normal ALIF and intracept in Huntsville.

X-rays did not show signs of anything serious, per provider. I had been having Pain for 6 to 8 weeks before I made the appointment, so I was hoping to rule out something serious (which I received). I Told Caitlin I would like to try PT at Vanderbilt, as she recommended. I left expecting to receive information or a call to schedule it. I waited a week and called the PT Department and was told my provider needed to request it. I left a message with that request and didn't hear anything back. I called again today and was told it had not been requested. I have now called the PT department again to request approval from my provider

PA was nice and accommodating to us even though we were kind of thrown at her with zero notice. We appreciated her help.
