This appointment was very stressful due to the waiting room experience. The nurses respected my wishes regarding which vital signs I wanted to have taken. I declined having my blood pressure checked because I was confident it would be higher than normal due to the emotional stress I was experiencing during the appointment.However, I did not appreciate Dr. Larsen repeatedly attempting to pressure me into having it checked. I explained that my vital signs were normal when I saw my primary care provider in January. She responded by saying that she had never met anyone who didn't have something wrong. I found that comment unnecessary.She also stated that she wanted to see if I had hypertension. I have a primary care provider, whom I saw just this past January. All of my vitals were fine. Additionally, hypertension cannot be diagnosed based on a single elevated blood pressure reading, especially during a stressful medical appointment. I worked in a cardiology practice for five years, so I understand how hypertension is evaluated and diagnosed.I felt that Dr. Larsen was stepping into the role of a primary care provider rather than focusing on her specialty as a breast specialist. I believe it is important to respect a patient's informed decisions after they have clearly communicated their wishes.She also suggested that I seek grief counseling. While I understand that the recommendation may have been well-intentioned, I did not feel it was appropriate in the context of the concerns I was there to address.Patients have the right to make informed decisions about their care. I simply ask that my wishes be respected once I have clearly communicated them.

Dr. Larsen has been very attentive and listened to all my concerns; always made me feel she wanted to help me create a treatment plan that was best for me and my family. I would like to have had a little more info on things that could go wrong with the surgical procedure. I know we spoke of such things, but maybe more info in print to have on hand would be helpful so that when things don't go as planned I would know what to look out for; however, this information may not fall within her perview.

Dr. Larson was so nice and professional. She listen and explain things to help me back to feelin better. Her nurse and assistant they was so nice . So now I'm on the right road to get better.

Dr. Angie Larsen is the BEST breast surgeon in town!!! She has excellent bedside manners and is very professional and knowledgeable. She walks me through each process and answers any questions I have. I have had one surgery with her, and it was the best experience I could have asked for. Surgery and recovery went perfectly, and her surgical skills left no visible scarring!!! I recommend her to anyone and everyone who needs a breast surgeon!
