About Emily G. Kurtz
Dr. Kurtz is a cardiologist, internist and associate professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt Health. She has been medical director for Vanderbilt Executive Wellness and Concierge Medicine since its inception in 2018. She attended undergraduate school at Wake Forest University and received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Dr. Kurtz completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. During her cardiology fellowship, she also received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Investigation from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed postdoctoral research in Preventive Cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and in Cardiovascular Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as part of Harvard Medical School’s Scholars in Clinical Science Program. She attained board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine in 2003 and Cardiovascular Medicine in 2007. From 2007 to 2016, she was the director of Preventive Cardiology for Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute.
