This was my yearly physical. The doctor ONLY checked my lung fields and my arms distal pulses and never engaged in any conversation. The doctor's distain for me was extremely evident

Dr Kane is consistently professional, friendly and non-hurried; he answers all questions and makes suggestions for everyday life. He treats the whole person, not just the illness or injury.

This was for a new patient visit so I'm not sure what I should have expected. Nobody asked about my past surgeries, illnesses or family history. Unfortunately, because of rules and regulations, my experience has been that Vanderbilt doctors spend more time entering information into a computer than talking with a patient. I asked about low blood sugar and this didn't get addressed, probably because he was typing on his pc when I asked. I thought this appointment was for a physical but the doctor just checked my lungs with a stethoscope while I was sitting in my chair, had the nurse draw blood samples and that was it.

Most important to me is not feeling rushed, therefore not listened to. Gold star for this!
