They took very good care of me.

Dr Herrell came in seemingly nice, explained things to us that the other doctor had already told us, the nice Doctor. We live over two hours away and will need to prepare for followup visits. So, we did have a question about when the results from a test would be back and then Dr Herrell got extremely rude. He started ranting about if we wanted care at this facility by him we would come to the appointments and tests there. It was very confrontational. He never even answered the question about when the test results would be back. I have no issue coming to my scheduled tests or appointments there, and that was never a problem. I was simply trying to ask about these results so my family could plan as best we could for upcoming appointments. I knew when being referred to Vanderbilt that I would be required to come there for appointments. The Doctor just got extremely mad in an instant for me simply asking a question about when the results would be in. He could definitely work on the way he speaks to people, especially ones that he has never met before and making assumptions about them not wanting to come to Nashville for appointments.I came to Nashville to Vanderbilt to receive excellent care. I thought that coming here, I would see the best Doctors that the state had. I was saddened to see the level of disrespect I felt from this doctor on our very first meeting. I had just received news that I may need a kidney removed and I was in complete shock when he came in so rude. I expected better from him. I expected better from Vanderbilt.

Dr. Herrell is amazing. He explained things thoroughly and in a way that was easy to understand. He puts you at ease and we left with a concrete plan.

I found Dr Herrell very kind, patient and thorough. He took the time to listen to me, which is very important because my health is a train wreck.

Dr. Herrell was great! I was nervous about the procedure and he was laid back and casual, which made me relax. The procedure was over quickly before I knew it. Quite the professional and personable physician!
