About Waldon Garriss
Dr. Garriss is an internist and pediatrician at Vanderbilt Health and an assistant professor of Medicine and Pediatrics. He joined Vanderbilt Executive Wellness and Concierge Medicine in 2023. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina, completed his residency at VUMC, and a general medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia. He has a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics (University of Kentucky), a master’s degree in health evaluation sciences (University of Virginia), and a physician master’s degree in healthcare and business administration (Georgia State University). Dr. Garriss is board-certified to care for adults and children. From 1999 through 2011, he served as an assistant professor of Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. From 2011 to 2022, he practiced internal medicine and pediatrics with the Wellstar Health System in his hometown of Marietta, Georgia.
