Always love to see Dr. Fechter. She's great to work with. Dr. Paul that was with her today was one of the best residents I've ever worked with. She clearly had read my chart and was curious to learn more. She immediately put me at ease.

This provider takes the time to explain things in simple terms. Along with active listening to my concerns and not rushing out of the room.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Fechter; she was absolutely incredible during my visit. I came in for a follow-up appointment regarding an extremely painful situation, and I was already feeling anxious after having undergone a painful procedure in the ER the week prior. This was my first time meeting Dr. Fechter, and she exceeded all of my expectations.From the moment she entered the room, she immediately put me at ease. She empathized with my pain in a way that felt genuine and compassionate, and it was clear to me that she truly cared about my well-being. Dr. Fechter took the time to carefully walk me through my treatment options, explaining everything in detail while maintaining a warm, approachable demeanor. Her ability to balance professionalism with humor and warmth made such a difference.I ultimately opted to have a treatment in the office, and Dr. Fechter was incredibly gentle and communicative throughout the entire process. She was hyper-aware of my pain levels and made it a priority to ensure I wasn't experiencing unnecessary discomfort. Her thoughtfulness and care were evident in every step she took.It's clear that Dr. Fechter is an exceptional physician, and I can only imagine how wonderful she would be in a childbirth setting. I couldn't help but wish she had been my OB during my last pregnancy! VUMC is beyond fortunate to have her on staff as she is an extraordinary asset to her team and to her patients.

This was a great experience. Allowed me to have a discussion prior to my annual visit. Helped me to feel more confident in my care going forward.
