Cervical posterior foraminotomy

When parts of a disc press on nerve roots near your spine, you might experience neck pain and/or pain that radiates down your arm. To relieve this pain, a cervical posterior foraminotomy might be performed to remove bone and/or portions of a herniated or diseased disc.
