What is the maternity bundle?
MyMaternityHealth provides a concierge clinical and service experience for expectant mothers. The program is an innovative approach that coordinates and “bundles” all the services an expectant mother will receive as a part of their pregnancy.

Do I need to enroll?
Yes. Eligible employees must enroll prior to the first prenatal care visit with a Vanderbilt Health maternity care provider to qualify. Start a conversation with a patient navigator in the Chat box below or schedule an appointment at this link.
How will this new program benefit expectant parents?
This program provides maternity patients with a high-touch care experience through an assigned Vanderbilt Health patient navigator, facilitated access to Vanderbilt Health providers, and an enhanced focus on convenience and communication with lower out-of-pocket costs, and in many cases, no fees at all.
What services are “bundled” in MyMaternityHealth?
The program is designed to provide coordinated maternity care for the entire length of the pregnancy from the initial prenatal care visit through the delivery and 12 weeks after birth. Services include:
- Concierge service with a dedicated patient navigator
- Your choice of Vanderbilt Health midwives and physicians
- Continuity of primary provider throughout your prenatal care
- Convenient telehealth services for qualified patients covering select pre and postnatal appointments as well as diabetic and genetic consults
- Free educational classes, including childbirth and lactation
- Newly redesigned and remodeled labor, delivery and triage facilities
- On-demand room services during hospital stay
- Enhanced postpartum care
What services are not covered by the bundle?
• Non-pregnancy care
• Contraception
• Prescriptions (Rx)
• Genetic testing
• Special newborn nursery
• NICU
• Breast pump
How long does the MyMaternityHealth bundle last?
Bundle coverage begins at the initial pregnancy visit through 12 weeks postpartum.
What happens if I still have postpartum appointments after my bundle ends?
Any postpartum appointments and/or services that occur after the bundle ends will be billed to your traditional health insurance.
What if I experience the loss of my pregnancy?
In the event of pregnancy loss, our program offers bundled coverage for related services, up to 60 days after experiencing loss. For more information, please contact our navigators.

*Note: Only midwife practices at Vanderbilt Nurse-Midwives Melrose and West End Women’s Health Center participate in the bundle program.
*Note: Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton Hospital and Vanderbilt Bedford Hospital are not participating in bundles at this time.

Prior to your first prenatal appointment with a Vanderbilt Health maternity care provider, you must consult with one of our patient navigators. Your patient navigator will walk you through eligibility and enrollment, and help schedule your first appointment.
