Dr. Alvarez wanted my input regarding the next step to take in treatment to evaluate an alarming result. He was very compassionate, very smart and came up with a plan that I really liked. He's always very reassuring without being unrealistic. A superb physician! One of the very best!

Dr Alvarez, like all of the doctors and nurses I interact with at Vanderbilt, is a wonderful doctor as well as a genuinely good human being. I am always impressed at how it takes the time to explain things to me to make sure I understand what's going on and why he's recommending what he does. I am honestly impressed by the level of care I get at this facility and am very grateful for all the wonderful doctors and nurses.

Dr. Alvarez put me at ease the moment he walked through the door. He is kind and compassionate with the best bedside manner I have ever encountered with a physician. He took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I never felt he was in a hurry. He is truly in the right profession!
