Physical Therapy at the Dayani Center

Physical Therapy as defined by Random House is the treatment or management of physical disability, malfunction, or pain by exercise, massage, hydrotherapy, etc., without the use of medicines, surgery or radiation.

At the Dayani Center, we offer three forms of physical therapy:

Aquatic

Dayani has traditional shallow water with a step entrance and optional chair lift if needed. Pool sessions will consist of standing trunk, arm, and leg exercises. These can be advanced by adding dumbbells, noodles, ankle weights, or increasing speed and repetitions.

Manual

In addition to typical manual therapy, Dayani embraces a nontraditional form of hands on treatment called myofascial release. This is a slow manual stretch/release to the connective tissue around tight musculature.

Traditional land based

Traditional physical therapy consists of table exercise, stretching, balance work, Swiss ball, theraband and gym based exercise machines.
