Types of Massage Therapy

Swedish-Relaxation
A peaceful and invigorating way to relax and relieve stress. Swedish massage can help the body remove toxins, deliver nutrients to tissues and cells more efficiently, and recover from strains and trauma more quickly.

Neuromuscular Therapy
Relieves soft tissue pain and dysfunction using deep finger pressure to treat specific physiological complaints.

Myofascial Release
A whole-body approach to healing that seeks to restore balance to the body by releasing tension in the fascia, using long stretching strokes to release muscular tension. This technique which is generally gentle, has the effect of relieving pain and improving function.

Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points are tender areas usually found in tight muscles. They may radiate, or refer, pain to other areas of the body. Deep stroking massage is applied to trigger pints to release their chronic contraction.

Reflexology
A technique of manipulating various reflex areas of the feet. It aims to improve circulation, ease pain, and increase relaxation in the body.

Muscle Release Technique
Great for repetitive use injury. Here, pressure is applied to the muscle while putting the muscle through a stretch.

Sports Massage
Expands muscle fibers increasing capacity to retain more blood for peak efficiency, which helps with training and maintenance of athletes.
