Nashville’s original non-profit HIV/AIDS medical home, remembered as the Comprehensive Care Center (CCC), was founded and established by Stephen P. Raffanti, MD, M.P.H., in 1994. In 2010, the CCC entered into a clinical practice agreement with the Vanderbilt Medical Group.
The Vanderbilt Comprehensive Care Clinic (VCCC), as it is currently named, is distinguished by top-notch clinical expertise in the field of HIV/AIDS and continues to offer high quality, state-of-the-art medical care as well as provide crucial secondary and support programs that keep patients well and out of the hospital.
The Comprehensive Care Clinic hosts a weekly Antiretroviral Case Conference at which providers review all patients starting, stopping, or changing HIV medications. Several HIV experts attend this conference to discuss the best options for each patient.
