How to make the most of your doctor's appointment:

• Make a list of all the medications you currently take– both prescription and over-the-counter.  Or just bring in your medication bottles with you.
• Ask your doctor if you can use generic drugs for any medication. 
• Bring copies of recent test results if they were done by a different doctor.
• At the visit, state your main problem first.
• Write down your doctor's diagnosis and treatment plan in case you forget a specific detail after you get home.
