Traveling Abroad While Pregnant

The Vanderbilt Travel Clinic is offering the Yellow Fever vaccine and will continue to carry this vaccine through 2018.
In addition, we are now offering the cholera vaccine.

As a pregnant woman, you have learned that certain precautions must be taken to ensure the health of your unborn baby.  This is no different when considering traveling internationally while you are pregnant.

While there are certain factors you must consider when traveling domestically, international travel requires consideration of additional factors.  If you will be traveling abroad while you are pregnant, the Vanderbilt International Travel Clinic can assist you in ensuring the health of you and your baby.

During your visit we will:

  •  Identify the current safety concerns for your intended destination

  • Discuss the required immunizations in relation to your pregnancy

  • Discuss the importance of avoiding Traveler's Diarrhea and dehydration and provide you information that will help you prevent  these conditions
