MyWeightLossHealth – Medical Weight Loss for Employers

Weight Loss That Works for You

Many patients can achieve meaningful weight loss without surgery. The MyWeightLossHealth – Medical Weight Loss Bundle helps patients lose weight through a combination of multidisciplinary clinical support and proper medication. In addition to delivering the best care for employees, we also reduce financial risk for employers with predictable pricing for the bundle. Employers simply pay one set fee per patient. A weight loss provider will evaluate and prescribe appropriate medications to maximize patient outcomes.

What’s Included

  • Concierge support from a dedicated patient navigator
  • Relevant lab work, including biometric panels and measurement of resting metabolic rate
  • Oversight and support from an obesity specialist
  • Dietitian and behavioral health visits as needed
  • Access to MyFitnessPal to track nutrition, water intake and physical activity
  • Referral and access as appropriate to Vanderbilt Dayani Center for medical fitness programming
  • Sleep consultation

How It Works

  • Patients qualify for the Medical Weight Loss Bundle if they have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of greater than or equal to 35 and have not had a surgical weight loss procedure within the past 12 months. (Calculate BMI here.)
  • Interested candidates begin the process by speaking with a patient navigator, who confirms health plan eligibility, explains the process and collects required information.
  • Once health plan eligibility has been confirmed, the patient will be scheduled for a consult to determine medical eligibility.
  • If the care team determines that the patient should not continue along their bundle journey, they are offered other weight loss treatment options.
  • If they qualify clinically and wish to choose to continue their bundle journey, the patient completes an onboarding process that includes a group dietitian education class and all relevant lab work.
  • For the first 12 months, the patient works with our physician-led, multidisciplinary team, including visits with an obesity specialist, behavioral health specialist and dietitian as needed. Patients have ongoing access to MyFitnessPal to track nutrition and activity. Qualified patients may be referred to the Vanderbilt Dayani Center for medical fitness.
  • For the following six months, their provider works with them to transition the end of their bundled care to their primary care physician.
