Our VIVID Health team includes primary care providers and specialists committed to providing inclusive care for the adult LGBTQ+ community. Our team also includes a dedicated chaplain to support patients' spiritual and emotional needs throughout their care.

    Our team offers training programs to providers and staff across the medical center on topics such as cultural competency, top health concerns and creating a welcoming environment for our LGBTQ+ patients and families. Tests, Treatments and Services

Vanderbilt University Medical Center follows all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Under Tennessee law, gender-affirming care involving puberty-blocking drugs, hormone therapy, and surgical gender transition is prohibited for any patients under age 18. Tenn. Code Ann. § 68-33-101

We help patients navigate Vanderbilt Health's services, connecting them with LGBTQ-competent providers and resources. Our groundbreaking Trans Buddy program provides patients with volunteer patient advocates who provide emotional support during any kind of health care visit at Vanderbilt.
