There is a number showing I have unread messages and I just read them. How do I make that number go away?
When you are viewing messages there is a badge showing the number of unread messages. The badge will remain there until you either refresh the page or log out and come back in. At that point it will go away providing you have clicked on each unread message along the left side of the page. If you do not actually click on each message, it will continue to show unread messages and you will continue to receive message notifications in your regular email. See pictures below of examples.
There is a green arrow pointing to the Message Badge and a green arrow pointing to the Refresh Button in Google Chrome.
