It was my first visit. He was even more than I expected in his time and explanation of what to expect.
Patient | October 1, 2017

He's a real pro
Patient | September 27, 2017

good
Patient | September 25, 2017

If I recommend him to others, I would do so with the caveat that you may have to wait for an hour before being seen.
Patient | September 25, 2017

Overall, quick in and out yearly exam - nothing new - nothing to follow up on unless there is a change.
Patient | September 22, 2017

good
Patient | September 20, 2017

Good experience.
Patient | September 19, 2017

the best! excellent patient rapport! very important
Patient | September 18, 2017

I really like Dr. Daniel Weikert - very professional as is his staff.
Patient | September 8, 2017

Physician always seems hurried.
Patient | September 6, 2017

Dr, Weikert is the BEST.
Patient | September 5, 2017

Have received excellent medical services from provider.
Patient | August 24, 2017

Provider was sitting with back to me when I came into room looking at computer. Did not introduce himself (I was a new patient). He told me he was going to look at my eyes that day. Rolled to the slit lamp, looked in my eyes, rolled to the computer and told me he would see me in a year. The end! I asked for referral to plastic opthamologist and he put it into the computer so the appointment could be made. An introduction would have gone a long way. I would rather the Vanderbilt providers treat the patient than the computer. It seems to me that the patient is less and less important.
Patient | July 24, 2017

Had very poor explanation to questions I ask.
Patient | July 20, 2017

I would never recommend anyone going to see Dr. Weichert. I do not know what has happened to him over the last 2 years but do not get the treatment or time I previously received while in his care.
Patient | July 17, 2017

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Daniel Weikert! He is the best ophthalmologist I have ever used. After my LASIK procedure over 8 years ago, I still have 20/15 vision, and only use 1.25 strength readers when necessary! I highly and often recommend him to anyone who is in need of ophthalmological services!
Patient | July 17, 2017

My procedure went exceptionally well. Very professional treatment. My only slight concern was with the very little time the Doctor actually spent with me prior to, and at the follow-up appointment. Not a complaint, just noting that was his style, I guess.
Patient | July 5, 2017

Great Dr.
Patient | June 26, 2017

This was a 1 year check up. Many of these questions don't have much to do with an eye exam to see if your eyes are all right. My eyes are in good shape so , other than a wait for my eyes to dilate it was a quick, efficient, informative, and pleasant visit. Since I live in Spring Hill , having office time in Spring Hill is delightful.
Patient | June 24, 2017

Dr. Weikert is obviously very busy due to his excellent skills. However, I read some reviews that indicated people were not happy with his people skills. I did not find that to be an issue - he spent enough time explaining my situation and the procedure and follow up necessary to correct my vision. In my opinion Dr. Weikert is an excellent choice for my eye care needs. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking treatment.
Patient | June 22, 2017

recommended this provider to family member
Patient | June 16, 2017

Dr. Weikert and his staff are always excellent.
Patient | May 30, 2017

Dr. Weikert is a good, decent, honest man. He conducts himself with integrity and answers questions. He will occasionally talk down to me, but I think that's because he doesn't know the educational levels of all of his patients (no doctor knows that, I suspect). He tends to limit his responses to the minimum number of syllables required to answer the question. No additional elaboration or explanation is offered, but if I ask a follow-up question, he'll answer it. He seems like he's trying to balance giving me what I want to know and staying on schedule. He also talks to the tech as if I'm not in the room. When I ask what the information he just stated to the tech was, he'll always give me an answer. If I don't ask, he continues without explaining what's so important the he wants the tech to put the info in my medical records.
Patient | May 22, 2017

All good experiences.
Patient | May 8, 2017

I've always had the best of care with Dr. Weikert. Very trustworthy to me.
Patient | March 27, 2017

Dr. Weikert was excellent in the office, as well as, in the two cataract surgeries. He made me feel comfortable and confident of the surgeries. I had no anxiety prior to, during, and after each cataract surgery. I attribute this to Dr. Weikert's confidence that he showed at every interaction I have had with him over the past 30+ years.
Patient | March 20, 2017

This was a routine eye exam, for which many of the questions don't apply.
Patient | March 13, 2017

good
Patient | February 20, 2017

Positive experience with this provider
Patient | February 20, 2017

Dr Weikert is a very good doctor and came highly recommended from another physician. However, he does not listen and appears to be ready to leave as quickly as he walks into the room. He generally stays in the exam room 3-4 minutes.
Patient | February 13, 2017

I heard great things about him and I will continue to see him. He was just very, very rushed. I saw him for maybe 2 minutes and j felt like I was being ushered out quickly. this was the first time I had met him.
Patient | January 23, 2017

This provider was great.
Patient | January 9, 2017

He always seems rushed and trying to cram as many appointments into his day as possible. While he will answer questions asked, he makes one feel as thoughhe is doing it on the run. Answers are short and follow on questions don't seem to be encouraged. Time spent with me feels inadequate. I do not need to chat but would like more time to disscuss my condition. I feel rushed in and out. I understand my eyesight needs so I can deal with this because I think he is competent but I would not recommend him to anyoine needing more help understanding their conditions and issues.
Patient | December 29, 2016

Will definitely recommend.
Patient | December 27, 2016

He 'rush' through in seeing me due to the number of people in the lobby waiting. did not care for this visit
Patient | December 24, 2016

Good experience so far. One more eye to do this week.
Patient | November 15, 2016

I really like him and he gives excellent care
Patient | November 14, 2016

Dr. Weikert is very good at what he does. He's always running 100 MPH, but he will take the time to answer my questions and always does so in a clear, concise fashion. His demeanor is professional and cordial. He doesn't condescend when talking with me and treats me like I have a head on my shoulders and can engage in rational thought. I appreciate his manner and his expertise very much!
Patient | November 14, 2016

I always feel that I get the best care with Dr. Weikert and the staff .
Patient | November 13, 2016

This whole series of questions was redundant. If you want me to answer surveys in the future, keep the surveys shorter and to the point.
Patient | October 31, 2016

Please quit asking the same questions over and over
Patient | October 31, 2016

All of the care was excellent.
Patient | October 31, 2016

was there for a routine visit, they numbed and dilated my eyes for the Dr to examine, we talked about the problem I was having he looked into the one eye to see what was going on and never did a thorough exam on either in fact he never even looked at the other eye, he made an appointment for me to see a plastic surgeon for my tear duct and that was it sent me on my way, never asked if there was anything else nor did he say when he wanted to see me back which is usually a year and he'll even state that and put it in the notes but when I got to checkout the receptionists said he only saw the recommendation for the plastic surgeon.....Worst visit ever and I'll probably not go back....had a poor visit last year and said if it was the same or worse this year as far as the lack of concern I definitely would not go back.
Patient | October 17, 2016

after dr told us cataract was getting worse he didn't spend any time trying to discuss doing surgery now versus waiting.. he was very rushed so y wife stayed and continued to ask questions even though he dismissed us. we are now looking for a second opinion and someone who spends time helping me understand what and when I should take y next steps. my wife educated me more than the dr she went online and looked up suregery to help me start to feel comfortable about it. the doctor should have spent time helping me understand options for my sight.
Patient | October 17, 2016

After waiting an hour to see the doctor, I felt like he discounted my concerns and didn't see the relevance in my visit. This was a huge waste of my time!
Patient | October 12, 2016

Cataract surgery went well.Better vision except reading.Eyeglass prescription didn't correct vision to 20/20. Optometrist said I needed to see Dr Weikert about why.Dr Weikert said that glasses could only correct my vision to 30/20.I asked why, because eyeglasses could correct it to 20/20 before the cataract surgery.Dr Weikert looked at my eyes and assured me that the cataract surgery went well and my new lenses were clear and everything looked good. The only answer I got as to why they could not be corrected to 20/20 is that 30/20 is good enough to pass a drivers test.I would like my vision to be 20/20 or know why not.
Patient | September 30, 2016

I went for a check up and advice on cataract surgery and get new perscription. He wouldn't rate how bad my cataracts were and said the decision to have surgery was up to me. I shouldn't have bothered to have the check up because he was no help to me in correcting the problems I'm having. He said I saw 20/20 and would have to go to an optomarist to determine my issues with vision. When I told him I was having trouble refocusing after reading and then looking far way, he said nothing could be done because eyes do that with age. Complete waste of time and money!
