spent less than 3 minutes in the room. Although he did a fundoscopic exam, I guarantee you that he couldn't tell you what color my eyes were. I dont enjoy going to this provider but he is in network so I grin and bear it once a year.

This is the first tiem I was told I had cataracts and when I started to ask questions about when they should be removed I was told to "just let us know when you want them removed." I would have liked to have discussed this further at this visit, but was told to call when I was ready. I would have liked to have discussed options at that time, but felt the doctor did not. This may be due to needing more time than is allotted for an annual visit, but I don't know. I just felt that was not the appropriate time to continue the discussion.

This was my third visit with Dr Weikert after being referred from Dr Kroll's office upon his departure. I appreciate a physician that is thorough and attentive to individual needs. I have had multiple surgeries on my eye from an MVA several years ago and choose a specialist practice to maximize the health of my damaged eyes. I will look for a physician that isn't as busy as his practice seems to be so that I feel assured that my visual needs are being met. I know that we are all busy and distracted in today's healthcare works, however, I don't ever recall spending less than 5 minutes in an exam room with a specialty physician. Nothing against his expertise or person....I just prefer a setting that isn't so rushed.

This was a one-year check-up, so no deep questions/answers were really necessary. Dr. Weikert is very personable and did not seem in a hurry to get patients in and out. The prep staff took care of paperwork. The process is very efficient!

He spent well less than 1 minute with me. He answers questions when asked but does so shortly with as little information as possible and acts as if he can't wait to leave the room to see another patient. I believe his technical ability is good but his "chairside manner" is poor. I would not recommend him to others because he does not spend enough time with patients. He is only adequate for me because I am well informed ahead of time. I am considering changing eye care physicians.
