Patient | December 1, 2016

He is (Dr. Russell) is a great doctor and a great person! The greatest.
Patient | December 1, 2016

Dr. Russell's approach is that he explains everything that the patient need to know and the best choices available. Before jumping into the high risk and more expensive approaches, he would let you think not just once or twice to make up your mind on the best choice for your self. Not many doctors are like him. Others would choose the choice that they like for you, and not choosing those for yourself.
Patient | November 22, 2016

Excellent doctor.
Patient | November 21, 2016

All OK.
Patient | October 27, 2016

Felt very comfortable discussing major surgery with this doctor and liked the fact that he consulted with other doctors and brought them in while I was there. I could tell that he had studied my charts and scans before coming in to see me. Very good bedside manor.
Patient | October 24, 2016

Apparently provider was running behind on his appointments. Seemed rushed but still competent.
Patient | October 20, 2016

Patient | August 28, 2016

#4-6. Follow-up - knew what to expect Dr. Russell is excellent!
Patient | August 1, 2016

my only problem was the wait time. It was at least 2 hours including time spent with Dr.
Patient | July 26, 2016

I traveled 125 miles from my home town to this appointment as a new patient to obtain a second opinion and I was not disappointed. The staff at Vanderbilt from the onset of the initial call to your facility to the end of the appointment were very professional and organized. The doctor and his nurse could not have been any better than they were. Both showed a lot of concern and spent a lot of time reviewing my history and going over treatment options.
Patient | June 1, 2016

Dr. Russell is such of real - Matter of fact Dr.). He doesn't make promises that he can't keep. He keeps the patient aware of everything he is doing, and why. Seeing Dr. Russell was great, I feel that his wealth of knowledge and ability gave us an acceptable result.
Patient | June 1, 2016

Been seeing him ever since he got out of med school
Patient | June 1, 2016

I am exceedingly grateful for the surgical skills of Dr. Russell. He was able to straighten the septum in my nose allowing me to breathe much more easily that was the case before encountering Dr. Russell.
Patient | May 1, 2016

Dr. Paul J. Russell is honestly one of the best physicians I've interacted with.
Patient | May 1, 2016

I saw Dr. Russell as a follow-up appt. from an emergency room treatment for a bleeding nose that happened on 3/20/16. Dr. Russell was very friendly & helpful in explaining my options regarding nose bleeds while taking blood thinners. I felt confident in his care and treatment.
Patient | April 29, 2016

Very good.
Patient | April 22, 2016

I hesitate to share this because it is just an opinion, but I felt that the provider just lectured me and did not listen to the experience I have had with this problem (nosebleeds)and that these recent nosebleeds were somewhat different. He also had the attitude, it seemed , that I did not know very much about my own medical problems. I know what causes my nosebleeds, which, before he looked in my nose, he stated that I probably did not have the vein with many branches that I do have and told him that I have, have had several cauterizations, and have had this verified by providers I have had before. I specifically asked my primary care doctor to refer me to this provider since he did my husband's sinus surgery several years ago. I don't think that she would have referred me to this provider had I not asked but rather would have referred me to someone of her choosing.I'm sure she would be very disappointed that I had a less than spectacular experience with a fellow Vanderbilt provider.
