He didn't listen to anything I said to him, any problem and dismissed every provider I have been to. Was the worst dr. I have EVER seen. When they called with lab results, I asked for a copy and received something that really didn't answer what I asked for.

Dr Meyers is a 10 on scale of 1-10. Always listens, cares and tries his best to help with your health situation. I drive 2 hours for my appointments at Vanderbilt and it is so worth it. I fully trust the care I receive there and that means a lot to a patient.

He doesn't know what's causing my pain and that's okay. But I feel like he's just guessing now. When I first met him he said he didn't know why I was referred to him in the first place bcuz it sounded like fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. Two things that have no cure. So he thought it was really pointless to see him. Not really sure if anything good will come out of this but I'm looking for answers.

I did not appreciate being blindsided by having a medical student come into the room prior to Dr Myers. I had no idea this was going to happen, but did not feel comfortable telling him that I didn't want to talk with him. On a couple of prior appointments, a medical student came into the exam room WITH Dr Myers. I think a patient should be provided notice ahead of an appointment that a medical student would be present and given an opportunity to say whether or not they would agree to being seen by a student. I realize that VUMC is a teaching environment, but a patient should be given a choice to be a participant in this 'teaching'.
