1st time to see this specialist; appeared originally to have been re-assigned to a new doctor in town from an established, outstanding doctor; pleasantly surprised...outstanding addition to your medical team...she could not have been more professional and helpful...was happy to welcome her and her husband to Nashville!

Patient | September 25, 2016

I understand that we're not very sure what is going on in my body, but she made me feel like I was wasting my time by coming to her. she listened to my symptoms and basically said she didnt think i was going to find an answer but I could still go through with the lab tests if I wanted to. She immediately started telling me I should go back to my primary care provider and go elsewhere. it made me feel as though I was wasting my time or that I would just never be able to figure out what's wrong with me. I do have to brag about how well she listens. though she didn't have much feedback for me, she never interrupted me. I appreciate that. however, she didn't detail the lab work to be done with regards to what exactly I was looking for and spent less than 10-15 minutes with me total. I left feeling very doubtful that she was going to help me despite the politeness.
Patient | September 19, 2016

I drove 3 hours to sit in exam room to be told she was referring me to a different Dr.
Patient | September 2, 2016

The provider was friendly enough but proceeded to break down and explain a condition to me that I already know about and have been dealing with for the last 2 years. She was unwilling to be open to any alternative therapies and proceeded to say that everything that had given me benefit in the last year was a placebo affect, wasn't FDA recommended, and wasn't 'evidence based' medicine, even though I am under an MD care. She didn't seem to be willing to explore outside the box at all.
Patient | August 30, 2016

My provider was very kind and helpful.
Patient | August 23, 2016

I am very pleased with Dr. Bischoff. She is an excellent doctor, caring, and professional. I am very lucky to have her as my endocrinologist.
Patient | August 11, 2016

This doctor had in mind what she was going to do before ever stepping foot into my room. She never examined me herself, she didn't go over any of my past (only the assistant that came in prior to her did). She never offered to run any additional tests only went by the tests that were done at another location even though there was other bliss work needed. This doctor basically wasted my time and money. I was referred to her because my primary care doctor thought there was a problem, but this doctor would never know since she didn't do any physical examination, look at my ultrasound, or do any of her own bloodwork. Her bedside manner was deplorable! She talked down to me (with my young child sitting there). She kept insisting that I keep my ultrasound, which meant she didn't want me to come back. Also, she was basically trying to say all my symptoms were in my head by suggesting that I see a neurologist. I was very unhappy with the lack of care that I received. I chose Vanderbilt because my husband and mother in law both had similar problems as me and have both received care for theirs over the years. I guess I made a poor choice in judgement thinking that this was a good place for me to try and get care.
Patient | August 9, 2016
