As previously stated, I really think highly of Dr. Felch. He first hears your concerns and addresses each question making sure that you leave with a clear understanding of any issues or concerns raised with him. Also, there is minimal wait before seeing him. A great experience!

Spoke mostly to his assistant in unknown jargon, M.D. reserved, friendly, seemed in a hurry. Did not ask questions! Very routine (to him)...or make many comments i.e. condition of my eyes, any concerns, etc...disappointing.

I respect and trust Dr. Felch which is very important considering my diagnosis as glaucoma suspect. If I did not have confidence in him I would seek another doctor. He cares for three generations of my family and my husband now has an appointment with him.

I understand that Dr. Felch is one of the best in his field and I personally like him. His 'bedside' manner is very nice but my appt. was at 3:30 p.m. and I didn't get into his exam room until around 5:30 p.m. which means I didn't get out of his office until around 6:00 p.m. This has been my previous experience. While that may have to be the case with Dr. Felch, I commute from Murfreesboro and don't get home until 7:00 p.m. or later.

I'd be happy to recommend Dr. Felch to others if I could do so knowing they would be seen promptly. as it stands currently, however, I would not send my friends to a medical office that does not respect the patient's time. in fact, I already warned others on social media.

Vanderbilt Eye Institute is where I have been getting eye examinations for several years. This was a new doctor I had not seen before and he told me I needed glasses which has never been done before. He advised me to go to Milam's for the glasses. When the glasses were finished, I could see better without them. I was totally embarrassed and did not purchase the glasses. Needless to say, Milam's was not happy with me. This doctor visit totally confuses me and now I am reluctant to go to Vanderbilt Eye Institute again.

I was informed AFTER I checked in that Dr. Felch ALWAYS has about a one to 1 1/2 hour wait past my appointment time. It was acutely 2 1/2 horus. I will not be going back to him or referring him to anyone. This is unacceptable. I was there from 3:30 until 6 pm for a 8 minute eye exam. No thanks.

I came to Dr. Felch with a problem that is really acutely affecting my ability to perform tasks I need to perform. He performed an exam, did not find anything pathologic, and told me that he hoped it would resolve on its own and I should come back in a few months. He listened when I reinforced that I was struggling.

I appreciated the provider help and the clinic efforts to schedule my visit the same day when an acute problem started. However, although my acute problem appeared to be resolved with medications provided during the visit, when raising concern about poor vision in my left eye (which arose during the time I was in treatment with the clinic and was confirmed through a vision test), I was told to wait 2 weeks and go back to the clinic to re-evaluate my vision, but when I returned, re-evaluation was not done, and after raising concern for my left eye I was told it was tired vision. Additional evaluation or follow-up was not offered. I had to schedule another visit the next day with another provider (not at VUMC) to evaluate the issue of poor vision in my left eye since this was affecting my nighttime driving.
