Dr. Lotshaw delivered top notch care to me in 2012... and yrs later (now) and I'm SO happy.

I have full confidence in Dr. Lotshaw - I never leave worrying unnecessary or feeling like I don't know what's going on.
Patient | February 27, 2018

All my questions were answered
Patient | February 20, 2018

Dr. Lotshaw is a wonderful physician, always takes time for his patients.
Patient | December 28, 2017

the provider did not look over my HISTORY to know that I already had this procedure done before.
Patient | December 25, 2017

He didn't seem very concerned about what was going on or about my symptoms I was having. He also tried to downplay everything I said that I was concerned about. He didn't really think nothing needed to be done, but I wanted to know more about what is going on with my body and so he finally decided to order a ultrasound test. He didn't seem too concerned about my past medical history and didn't seem too prepared like he had read anything about me prior to seeing me for my exam.
Patient | December 20, 2017

I trust Dr. Lotshaw fully. He always listens to my concerns and questions, and is not quick to get anxious or overly excited which in turns helps me be less anxious.
Patient | December 11, 2017

This doctor just seems afraid of giving OB/GYN exams. He is not nearly as thorough as my doctors were in North Carolina.
Patient | September 22, 2017

Dr. Lotshaw does not volunteer information. I have had to ask and pry about the health of my unborn child and I feel like it is an inconvenience to him when I ask questions. I feel that he should always tell me the fundal height and the fetal heart rate at every appointment, but both appointments where he has actually taken measurements, I either didn't get that information or had to pry it out of him. As this is my first pregnancy, both my husband and I are disappointed that Dr. Lotshaw does not treat our appointments with the excitement and enthusiasm that a pregnancy appointment should contain. He also has not offered us any information regarding what to expect as the pregnancy progresses. I'm now 36 weeks pregnant and all the information I have gotten/am getting about my pregnancy has been through the Internet and reading books. Had my husband and I not enrolled in a Vanderbilt labor and delivery course, we would be in the dark about what to expect in the final phases of pregnancy. To conclude, Dr. Lotshaw is a nice man, but he does not have the personality nor the communication skills needed to be an OBGYN

Liked friendly personalty.

Dr. Lotshaw is by far my favorite physician at Vanderbilt. He is very caring, listens to you, and takes the time to answer all your questions. I was very blessed to have him deliver both of my kids and both experiences were so positive because of him! My husband was also very pleased with Dr. Lotshaw.
Patient | April 11, 2017

Very great doctor seemed very knowledgeable and caring.
Patient | April 4, 2017

The doctor made sure to go over health record and explain about heredity testing.
Patient | March 10, 2017

I expected him to be more personable, especially discussing and doing an intimate GYN exam, or at least make me feel comfortable with him; but he didn't and I wasn't. He did come to my side but I felt he should have discussed the meds after I sat up, not while laying down with feet in stirrups. Then he left room without saying good-bye, and so did his assistant. I got off the table myself and dressed and waited. Finally going out into hall to ask if he was bringing me an RX or coming back or what I needed to do. I had to ask when I would get results and ask where was the Rx he said he would give me. If I had not asked then I would not have been told. I felt like I was a bother to these people having to ask all these questions that I should not have had to ask. It made me feel like they thought I was an idiot.
