    Team Vanderbilt was created to combine all Vanderbilt-sponsored walks, runs and rides in one place to make participation easier. This site enables us to promote participation for each event equally and not overwhelm employees with multiple requests.

    2014 Nashville Gift of Life Walk and 5K (Kidney Disease)

    • Where: Richland Creek Greenway, Nashville

    Over 26 million Americans, or 1 in 9 adults, suffer from chronic kidney disease. Another 20 million are at increased risk and most don't even know it. You can make a difference in the fight against kidney disease by participating in the Gift of Life Walk in your community.

    Elaine's Walk (Ovarian Cancer)

    • When: Friday, September 12, 2014
    • Where: Centennial Park Events Shelter, Nashville

    MillarRich hosts Elaine's Walk on Sept 12 in Centennial Park to raise ovarian cancer awareness. This is the only event in Middle Tennessee bringing attention to ovarian cancer. All funds received benefit ovarian cancer research at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.

    Women's Running Nashville Half Marathon and 5K benefiting the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation. Online Registration Closes on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. PST or at sellout. There is no raceday registration.

    • Walk Distance: 1 mile
    • Where: LP Field, One Titan Way, Nashville

    Polycystic kidney disease, one of the most common, life-threatening genetic diseases, strikes both adults and children. It often leads to the need for dialysis and a kidney transplant. There is no treatment or cure.

    The Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF) invites you to join us for the Fourth Annual Music City Miles for Melanoma 5K Run/Walk . Last year, Nashville raised $35,000 for research. Join us this year and help make a difference. Join us individually or create a team when you register. It's FREE to participate!

     

    Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk

    Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

    Nashville Brain Tumor Race 5K

    Registration fee for the 5K is $35. The event is free for walkers. Join us for the Survivor Celebration and other events at 8:45 and after the race.

    Hank Thompson Trek and Treat (Uniting Against Lung Cancer)

    • Where: Streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville, Tenn.

    Your participation supports Uniting Against Lung Cancer. In six years of funding, Uniting and its partners have awarded over $6 million in grants to individual researchers at top cancer centers and raised awareness of lung cancer across the U.S.

     

    Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

    American Diabetes Association Step Out Walk
