The Vanderbilt Stroke Center strives to provide the best care to patients and their families.

The Stroke Center's comprehensive care services include outpatient clinical appointments, emergency services, hospitalization and rehabilitation.

In addition, the Stroke Center works closely with the Nashville Emergency Medical Services (NEMS) unit and the Vanderbilt Emergency Department to quickly identify and treat the symptoms of a stroke.

LifeFlight is also available for the emergency air transport of an acute stroke patient.

The Vanderbilt Neurointensive Care (Neurosciences) Unit is one of the largest of its kind both nationally and internationally. The following groups contribute to Neurosciences service offerings:
