Vanderbilt Spine

Many doctors struggle with how to help patients with back or neck pain. This is especially true with patients who have had many kinds of treatment but no improvement. The Vanderbilt Comprehensive Spine Center brings many specialists together in one place. This lets our doctors work together to create a personalized care plan for each patient.

Patients will begin their treatment at the Spine Center with one of our specialists, a non-surgical doctor. We'll review all previous X-rays, MRIs, surgeries and other important information. A patient may then go to one of our surgical specialists in neurosurgery or orthopaedics for further testing and discussion of surgery options. For patients who don't need surgery, the doctor will discuss treatment options such as injections, medication and physical therapy.
