American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine the major medical organization representing hospice and palliative care physicians in the United States.
Hospice and Palliative Nursing
Established in 1986, the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is the nation's largest and oldest professional nursing organization dedicated to promoting excellence in hospice and palliative nursing care.
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) is the largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States.
Caring Connections, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), provides free, in-depth resources and information on advance directives, including state-by-state forms and much more.
Doyourproxy.org is a website that makes advance directives easy and accessible. This free tool helps people create both health care proxies and living wills online.

The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship is the oldest survivor-led cancer advocacy organization in the country and a highly respected authentic voice at the federal level, advocating for quality cancer care for all Americans and empowering cancer survivors.
Share the Care is an organization that provides a model for group care giving so that the burden does not fall on the shoulders of a single or a couple of individuals. It was inspired by the experience of the founder who was called on to gather a group of friends to find a way to help another friend cope with cancer.
Family Caregiver Alliance is a nonprofit organization that offers a wealth of information for families and friends caring for adults with chronic, disabling illnesses. Newsletters, fact sheets (many in Spanish and Chinese), online support groups, audio workshops, resource lists, policy updates, caregiver advice and more are available free of charge on the website.
